Guilin has a convenient transport net consisted of flights, rails, buses, taxis, bikes, boats, etc. Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL) has domestic flights to major cities and a lot of international flights. The railway systems provide cheap, safe, and fast trips to other cities in China. Guilin- Air Transport Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (Airport Code: KWL) is located in Liangjiang Town, about 28 km southwest of the city center. It has domestic flights to the major cities and dozens of international flights such as flights to Japan, Singapore, Korea, Macao, and Hong Kong. The journey from the airport to Guilin city center takes about 40 minutes and the price of a taxi is about 100 CNY. The airport shuttle bus with a price of 20 CNY runs between the airport and the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) building which is located at NO.18 Shanghai Road in Guilin. There will be an airport shuttle bus when a flight arrives at the airport. And the shuttle bus from the city center leaves every 30 minutes from 6:00 to 21:30. Guilin- Get to Guilin by Train There are three railway stations in Guilin: Guilin Railway Station, Guilin North Station, and Guilin West Station. Travelers can take trains from major cities to Guilin such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Hong Kong. Tips: Passengers need to buy sleeper tickets 5 to 10 days in advance because Guilin usually is a mid-route stop in the whole journey. |

Wuhan- Transportation - Air By the end of March, 2013, the airport has operated passenger flights to 72 domestic cities and 47 international cities/regions, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi''''''''an, Hong Kong, Macau, Seoul, Bangkok, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Singapore. A 20-kilometer speedway drive from the Tianhe International Airport (WUH) to the city center takes only twenty minutes. Airport shuttle buses leave for the city following flight arrivals. From the airport to Hankou, the bus will charge CNY per person, and 32 per person for Wuchang; a taxi ride to the city area is CNY 80-120. - Train As the capital city of Hubei province, is a transportation hub for central China. Trains travel between it and the cities within Hubei Province, as well as most major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi''''''''an, Chongqing, Chengdu and Nanchang. The operation of high speed trains between Wuhan and Shanghai, Xi''''''''an, Shenzhen and Guangzhou makes the city a widely recognized transportation hub, especially the high speed trains to Guangzhou, whose duration time is only 4 hours. Currently, there are three railway stations for passengers in the city: Wuhan Railway Station, Wuchang Railway Station, and Hankou Railway Station. - Ship As one of the ports of call on the Yangtze River, the city welcomes cruise passengers to this ancient city; ferries are available to Chongqing, Shanghai, and other riverside cities. Dozens of cruise services offer deluxe cruises to the famous Three Gorges. The Passenger Port is located on the western bank of the Yangtze River, at the right end of the famous Jianghan Road. - Long-distance Bus With the rapid development of road construction, China''''''''s highway mileage is second in the world with a total of over 30,000 kilometers (1864 miles). Overland buses are the most important means of transport in many parts of the country. Compared to air and trains, buses are the cheapest means of transport. |
